First Minister Nicola Sturgeon officially saluted The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo at Saturday’s (13 August) late performance.
Performers from over 48 countries including the Jordanian Royal Guard, Band and Drill Team and the Scots Guards are entertaining thousands of spectators throughout August.
The First Minister acknowledged the Gaelic Toast of Lone Piper Lance Bombardier Megan Beveridge, from 19th Regiment Royal Artillery, The Scottish Gunners, with Garrison Sergeant Major WO1 John Ford, Scots Guards.

She said:
Each year, under the creative eye of Brigadier David Allfrey, the Edinburgh Military Tattoo is a spectacular show that highlights the wonderful talents of our armed forces and dancers.
Set in front of the iconic Edinburgh Castle, the Tattoo is the real epitome of a multi-national, diverse and world class performance and captures the imagination of everyone who sees it.”
