The First Minister was joined on stage for speeches by Finance Secretary Derek Mackay and representatives from the International Monetary Fund, the OECD, and Swedish Financial Markets Minister, Per Bolund. They each gave their own perspective on how by creating fairer and more equal societies, long-term economic growth can be maximised.
During the event, the First Minister said:
Our economy is going to be more successful if we have a society that allows every individual to participate to their full potential.
“That is our commitment to building a truly inclusive economy.”
