The First Minister flew home from America on Friday, but she still had time to squeeze in some engagements before she left!
The First Minister started her day with some meetings with financial services companies before heading to the Carnegie Hall to meet senior representatives from TripAdvisor.
She discussed Scotland’s tourism sector with Robyn Ingle, Senior Vice President of Sales, and welcomed a new, European-first partnership between TripAdvisor and Visit Scotland that is set to generate millions of pounds for Scotland’s economy for years to come!
The last visit of the trip was to digital skills academy Flatiron where she met the founders and some of the students that study there. The First Minister recently announced £36 million funding for digital skills training in Scotland and she was there to see what lessons we can learn from the work being done in America.

And then the First Minister headed to the airport for her flight back to Scotland.
Busy & productive week in USA draws to a close. Thanks to @scotgov @scotent @ScotDevInt @VisitScotland teams for all their hard work.
